  1. Well, it turns out that things weren't as broken as they first appeared to be, some helpful rear seat passenger had managed to force both dials beyond the natural stop (effectively reversing the thumb wheels) so with a bit of cajoling I managed to rotate them back as they should be. So no need to replace the entire unit. Thanks for the others who made helpful suggestions
  2. Having managed to source a replacement for my Yeti head restraint clip (here) I find that the two little "thumb wheels" that control the direction of air from the rear air vent have disappeared and I'm left with two little white nibs. Any one else experienced this? Any idea where to get a replacement.
  3. I bought replacement clip from AliExpress Link The part arrived within 10 days and fits well. Overall, I think this route is less wasteful than buying the overall mounting fitting from Skoda Dealer and discarding all but the clip. Hope this is of use to some others.
  4. A bit more: rootling around in AliExpress I think I've found a supplier for the clip. I've ordered the part and now waiting with bated breath to see what turns up in a few weeks time. I'll let the forum know the outcome
  5. Well, 6 years on it has happened again (different yeti, same seat position). This time the additional words of wisdom from the forum will help me: (1) buy the full replacement fitting (I wonder how much the £8 original cost has turned into over 6 years) (2) extract the clip from the replacement part (3) inset into existing spike that is still in situ in the car. I did notice in the original posting that someone suggested using a 3D printer to create just the clip. I wonder if anyone has done that or if there is another source for the head restraint height adjusting clips?
  6. It went into the Dealer today, fortunately we have a warranty and that will cover a replacement. Trouble is 8 weekish wait for a replacement unit to be delivered.
  7. Sadly mine seems to be suffering from the same issue. Does anyone have experience of a good equivalent of Satnav systems based in the southwest? Or does Satnav offer a postal service? If so, how does on get the current unit out of the dashboard?
  8. Somehow the little clip that you squeeze to adjust the driver's head restraint (yes, I know not a "head rest") has disappeared. The first attached photo shows what I'm talking about. I spoke with the friendly parts / service person at Murray Skoda and ordered up the replacement bit (you can not buy the clip, you have to buy the entire barrel assembly). The chap warned me that it was a fiddly job. The replacement bit arrived (photos attached) and you can see there there is a 'spike' that is clearly intended to stop the barrel from coming out when attempts to raise the head restraint without squeezing the release clip happen. Having looked closely at the replacement part there doesn't seem to be an easy option of just taking the clip from the new part and inserting it into the original. So, how do I get inside the seat to do the necessary (and what is "the necessary") or is it one of those jobs that really needs to be done by the Dealer's Service Dept? There are two drivers for the car and we're not both the same height, so the "just ignore it" option isn't really what we want to do? This is a FL TSi 1.2 SE in case it makes any difference. Suggestions?
