  1. I tried running the cable through the rubber hose and into the boot hatch but gave up. I ended up just running it across the rear headliner and using one of these to mount the camera to: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/397328740471 made for a much easier install!
  2. Thanks for the info John, weird that it said there were updates on yours in November but our versions are all the same! Will see next year when it’s due its first service if there are any updates at that point, I’ve not had any connection loss since avoiding the previously problematic car park so it’s not a massive issue for me currently. Just hope they introduce an easier way to reset it via the screen in future rather than pulling fuses it if it does drop connection.
  3. Found that mine does this if I start the car too soon after getting in, turning the ignition on and letting the seat complete its movement before starting has seemed to cure it
  4. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible and it reverts back to normal mode every time, I’m lead to believe it’s part of the regulations that it must start in the mode in which it was certified for emissions, fuel consumption etc.
  5. @Trickiejohn Hi John, that’s a good point, I picked the car up in September and was told it had all updates available at that point, would be interesting to know if there is any further updates above what has been installed. My system version info is as attached and is not showing any over the air updates available, would be interested if yours is showing a newer version though.
  6. Have experienced the “grey globe” & loss of connection several times now which has coincided with me parking in a particular car park. Have left the car for several days each time but the connection does not restore by itself, I have had to resort to pulling the fuse, which immediately fixes the problem. I’ve had a look around the menu options for the Sync option (as DavidY mentioned above that is present on the Leon menu) but can’t seem to find anything. Surely there must be a way to reset the connection within the menu and I’ve just missed it? Having to keep removing the glove box and pulling the fuse in a brand new car just seems wrong! Anyone had any luck in finding another way to restore the connection? Car is running the latest software as far as I know (built June 2025) so am loathed to take it to the dealer as suspect they won’t be able to offer any help.
  7. Glad to see I’m not the only one! As per my original post I was able to get round it by setting the climate option to “normal” and have the rest of the options set to eco in the customisable drive mode so as to retain the eco engine behaviour - shouldn’t have to do it that way but seems best way at the moment, although given some of the earlier software horror stories I’m content with just living with this minor bug I think!
  8. Yes, I can’t believe the behaviour is by design, I could understand maybe a timer in eco mode where it would turn them off after a period of time from setting off. Not tried the heated rear screen yet to be honest will give it a try and see.
  9. Yes, you can. It’s available to set as a shortcut button along the top right of the screen. Just press and hold along the top right area of the screen and chose the start/stop option. Should then remain there so it’s easy to access.
  10. Yes it does, despite turning the switch to the heat position they just did not work in Eco mode.
  11. Had my mk4 superb estate for a little while now and this morning was the first time I needed to use the heated mirrors to clear condensation, after waiting for a few mins I found they had not de-misted at all so cleared them manually. (Previous car was a MK3 Octavia in which the mirrors would clear within a minute. ) I then left them on for my 20min journey to work to see if they would kick in, on arrival I checked both mirrors with my hand and they were still stone cold. Was about to ring the dealer to book in for a warranty repair but thought I’d have a play around on the infotainment first to see if there was a setting that I missed. I found nothing relating to heated mirrors specifically but after much searching I found that changing the climate setting on my custom drive mode profile from “eco” to “normal” both mirrors fired up and got warm quickly. Is this “normal” behaviour on other peoples cars? Seems odd that Eco mode would prevent them heating completely?! As far I know the car is on the latest software (built June 2025).
  12. Thanks for the replies, just to say I went down the erWIN route and got the paint code.
  13. Need to order a touch up kit after some kind person has given my 2025 Superb Sportline a tap with a supermarket trolley on the front bumper 😩 Previous VAG group cars had a handy sticker in the boot with all the info about the build of the car, I have lifted the carpet in the boot of the superb and no sticker… also checked the engine bay and door surrounds. Am I just missing the sticker or have they stopped applying them? Bought the car as a prereg so didn’t spec it, also no colour code on any paper work. From online digging I think it’s pebble silver but would be nice to find the code to confirm!
