|  South Wales Meet - Express Your Interest Folks, Having scanned the forums here for a while, I've noticed that, other than for drive-outs, there appears to be no details of meets in South Wales? At the moment, there is a meet held on the 1st Saturday of the month between members of SeatCupra.Net, Seat Owners and recently Audi Sport. We used to meet in Cardiff Bay, but recent parking restrictions down there mean we're currently looking for new meet locations. Especially now as a couple of our regulars are getting Furby vRS to replace their Ibizas, I thought I would ask... ...fancy tagging along? As I said, location still to be sorted out...

| Cardiff isn't a million miles from me... 100 miles ish I think. For a decent meet with fellow Briskodians, and others, I'm there!

| Hey Simon, We tried the Cinema / Bowling complex in Nantgarw last time, but weren't impressed - expensive food with little to choose from, expensive drinks, too noisy with screaming kids, and the broken chairs and tables didn't go down too well... With a couple of folks being Merthyr based, and there having been some Swansea based interest on the other forums, we *might* give Merthyr a go at some point... all depends though, we'll see how the discussions go

| Well, you've been a bit slack since you pit the ibiza on its roof... Seeing as you're here, what's Merthyr like for a meet location? Similar to the bay?

| Hmmm... no pubs then... That's the problem, finding a good enough pub for some food & drink, that's also easy to get to... that way then the people who just want a drink can just have a drink, and those that want food can get their food...

| Well, after chatting to some more of the regulars, we've found a pub in Cardiff we're going to try next weekend... it's the same place that UK MKIV's and Elite1K use... ...can't remember the name of it though despite being there today with UK MKIV's and Elite1K...  As soon as I remember what the name of the place is, I'll let you know. Anyway, the meet will be on Saturday at 1:30pm if you can make it! Would be good to see some Skoda's there

| Err, make that Club GTI and Elite 1000 instead and location is the Ffynon Wen pub just off the road between Cardiff (north)and Caerphilly mountain, just up on the right after the Nine Giants pub and car sales which are on the left. Its before Thornhill roundabout and opposite first enterance to crematorium. Nice large free car park,car club friendly staff, good food and a large outdoor area for warmer days and a mountain road to play on For those not living in Cardiff, I can meet you outside the Quality Hotel on M4 Jct 32 if you wish (take the "Tongwynlais" exit from the roundabout and there's 2 laybys to find a slot in )
