Default Yorkshire Area !!

It worked. We have our own identity. Thanks for your support everyone. All we need now is a meet. There has been a suggestion that we should assemble at the Hare & Hounds in Menston near Otley/Leeds.
Please indicate your thoughts
Cheers
Chris

Yorkshire we need a meet!!!!!!
This is great.
Mind there is a few of us.
So go in there and lets get one organised.
If it is organised for the weekend then this would be better.
Could we make a complete weekend out of it?
I have got over Saturday nights hangover now so I can have another drink , but only a couple of course hotel for the night nearby too!
Gud un mate!!

Hoorah for Yorkshire.

Pub in Menston would be ideal for me as it is only up the road, but of course it does need to be fairly central for all memebers of the area.

Can we look for a few locations and do them on a rotating basis? Not sure how difficult this would be to manage?

Xscape in Castleford gets a big from me. It's centralish for Yorkshire, easy location as it's next to the M62. It's close to Leeds, Bradford, Pontefract, Wakefield and only a 45 minute drive from York/Hull (depends which side of Hull in truth) and 1 hour from Chesterfield/Sheffield.

There are cafés/bars there, restaurants, cinema, skiing , plenty of room to show off your cars, a few hotels for those who want to stay over and you cannot miss Xscape as it's huge and can be seen from 3-5 miles away (no joke).

It's only 5 minutes drive from some excellent driving roads/lakes and there are no speed camera's on that side of Leeds.

How does that sound?

So once a few more people have seen this thread does robbo our co-ordinator want to arrange some meeting dates/times and to confirm whether we will be doing Xscape or not?

If he can't i'll take over the proceedings this time round and arrange the Xscape meet?

I'd love to BUT I'm not available for the next 3or 4 weeks. I'm away climbing in the Alps. How about arranging Xscape Hellfire? Looks like you have a few already. Just get a date arranged and the rest falls into place, list, etc..
Good Luck
Chris

I'll check my diary but how does 28/05/06 sound? Meeting time would be around 3pm again to miss the ch@v brigade at 7pm and to give us all time to grab a bite to eat etc...

Directions for the hotel which is next to Xscape (literally), the giant car park is joined onto it. If we try and meet as near to the hotel as possible, that way everyone will know where one another is.

At junction 32 of M62, directions to the hotel from West, approaching from the West on the M62, exit at J32 signposted ‘Xscape’. Take the first exit from roundabout at bottom of slip road. Take first left signposted towards Freeport/Xscape. Go straight over the next roundabout and the hotel is on the left. Directions to the hotel from East, approaching from the East on the M62, exit at J32 signposted ‘Xscape’. Take the third exit from roundabout at bottom of slip road. Take first left signposted towards Freeport/Xscape. Go straight over the next roundabout and the hotel is on the left.

Ok so shall we do this in the usual way, add your name if you can make it on that date/time and let's hope we get a good response!!

Castleford sounds okay, Scarborough is nicer though. But, if everyone can't make it to my front door, I guess I could be persuaded to travel over to West Yorkshire. Trouble is I've got a wedding on the 27th, so driving the next day might be a no-no. It would be nice to meet up though with some fellow Skoda drivers.
