| I quite fancy one 'cause they look pretty [black car with black rear plate, yes please] and the extra 30lb/ft across the rev range the plate will provide will be most welcome. My question is: how much of a spanking from a boy-in-blue will I get for having one? Is it just a fine, or is it points? |

| Re: Black/Silver rear registration plate. I suppose it also depends on the mood of the officer but I think it's a slap on the wrist for the first time but I certainly would'nt want to keep 'em on permanently as you'd be asking for trouble!.

| Briskodian | Re: Black/Silver rear registration plate. If they give you a FPN you'll get a £30 fine. If they choose to take you to court you can receive a maximum £1000 fine plus points on your licence. Furthermore, they can confiscate your private registration if you have one. |

| Re: Black/Silver rear registration plate. If the Skoda you own was registered before 1973, you'll be fine Keeping normal ones in the boot may work, the first time, saying you forgot to change them over after a show. But if you get stopped once, take it as a lesson, and leave the standard ones on!! Do think they look good though, especially on black cars. Just at shows, of course. Steve

| Re: Black/Silver rear registration plate. I had them on a dark green Escort mk1 a long time ago, they look so nice on dark cars especially if you get the numbers and letters pinstriped as well. |

| Re: Black/Silver rear registration plate. I've got a BRISKODA one in this style but I've not used them (yet). Obviously that would be show only ![]()
