BMW 120d

Just read autoexpress and it seems BMW are claiming 0-60 in 7.9 seconds and 137 mph top speed for a diesel engined 1-series with 122 bhp. Does that strike anyone else as being extremely unlikely?

With that sort of performance, it's got to be lighter than the Mini

It says 10.0 for a 118d (i.e. the 122 bhp engine) on the BMW website... Bit more realistic, methinks...

163bhp, and the magic 7.9 secs for the 120d. Maybe Auto Express got a bit carried away...

Part from it being the most annoying car advert ever- Vauxhall run them close though, is the car not terribly over priced? Although in saying that I like the new 535d's engine.
