Bought a Silverline, thanks for the advice.

Well
We did the deal on Saturday and purchased a 1.2 12v Silverline for the wife.
Thanks for the advice to everyone especially fabia, robmawer and devonutopia.

Rob, took your advice and went to Horners at Bury and got a brand new Silverline for £7795.
The sales guy (Paul Dyson)is chucking in mats, mud flaps and a side bump strip so the car shouls be saved from the Tesco Trolleys.

Also he gave us the Horners 10% discount card as well.

Good result all round.

Thanks again for the help.

Mark.....

[warm fuzzy feeling]

No probs. If I didn't shell out my opinions on the Fabia range, there'd be little need for me to come on here. I think we're all happy to help out potential Skud buyers.

Good choice on the 12v engine, BTW.

Fantastic deal!

Haven't used the Bury branch myself, I go into the middle of Manchester - it's further but I know the service folk quite well (and yes, mainly through frequent servicing than problems with the car! )
They opened up one round the corner from me in Rochdale which I got excited about, but it's a Rover franchise...

Big, small, internal, external............we really are spoilt for choice - except of colour! Any chance of some blue ones, Ian? (Could be a popular colour...)

Congratulations on the car
Paul Dyson is a good bloke. will fall over himself to help out and do a deal - he managed to sort out getting my car ready a few days early because the insurance ran out on my old car..

Excellent choice. I have a Silverline but a slightly older one with the 1.4 engine. You've paid a bit more than I did but I didn't get free insurance or the other extras you mentioned so you probably have the better deal.

The Silverline package has improved a bit because it now includes a CD player and (arguably) better engine.
