Can anyone tell me where the ECU unit will be located on my Golf?

On my Golf II GTI 8v Digifant, I need to know where the ECU unit is located, I cant seem to find it easily on the internet....

It's in the scuttle panel. Can't remember if it's on the driver or passenger side.

Open up the bonnet, prise off the rubber seal on the scuttle panel & unclip the plastic rain cover. You should the ECU mounted on a bracket.

The area below the windscreen. Also houses the wiper motor & linkages.

I've circled the ECU location on my old G60. Should be in a similar place on your Golf.

from memory its in the same place, definately under the milk tray cover tho
