Huge Lotus Convoy for World Record

Pah!!

Could we steal it off them with a Skud Fest??

They had 300 odd cars on a track in convoy. Rules were something like you had to be no more than 2 car lengths apart for a 2 mile convoy.

i thought the old shape mini held the record , i remember that in 1989 that almost the complete Silverstone GP circuit was covered with them , 5 abreast , iirc over 5k of cars

We had 35 skodas in a line between the Cat and Fiddle pub and the Red Lion on a meet last summer. It was a pretty amazing sight in my rear view mirror when I was leading.

We need to give it a go!!!

Why not on the Cat and Fiddle run, its on end of Feb, lets see how many we can get on a public road!!! Do you think the police would have anything to say???

Probably alright for a short time, but they tend to get a bit upset (as do other road users) if there's 30 of them in a convoy!

Some where i have pics and vid of me in a convoy of old (plus a couple of new) minis 5 abreast virtually filling the entire siverstone short circuit (stowe circuit?). That was pretty mad, and shocking there was no damage.

Its unbelieveable to drive in, there are cars passing you literally left right and centre, as well as lane swopping all over the place, plus everyone is using their horns to full capacity (including novelty musical ones), and the noise of the A seires isnt quite in itself. All in all its genreal chaos.
