| Still mega pleased with the vRS black beast, but that silly plastic thing in front of the driver side of screen naffs me off. I thought it was something the dealer had left in there to hold up the 'for sale' sign or something, as my car was in the showroom. Turns out we've all got them (according to my dealer) and it's for your parking tickets?!?!?!?! Before I knew this I tried to remove it without success, and have now bent it slightly so it now can't do it's intended job. Woe is me! From what my dealer tells me the only way to remove it is to take the front screen out! OH bugger! Has anyone removed it, or am I the only sad person not to like it? The beast is back in the dealers to have the parking sensors replaced next Monday. Not quite sure how I'm gonna cope without it for a day. I'd be ok if the loan car has a sticker in the window saying 'My other car is a vRS'! :-)

| It's really useful - I had a parking permit stuck on my windscreen, but then had a new screen put in, so the permit no longer sticks. Not a problem, I just tuck it in the clip! This also has the dual purpose of giving my Road Angel laser module thing something to hide behind ![]() Rob. |

| Why not break it off, then take the car into the dealer for a new one under warranty, saying it broke off when you tried to put a parking ticket behind it Or get a Dremel with a little disc cutter and cut it off flush with the trim. |

| Then you'd be able to buy a new vRS...with a new clip that wasn't bent out of shape! Rob. |

| Thanks chaps?!?!? I couldn't bring myself to torching the beast :-) Might be worth having ago with a hair dryer I suppose, see if I can't get it back to shape that way. If not I suppose I'll have to hang my fur dice from it to hide it....EEK!

| Briskodian | Not that I dis-believe that the screen must come out but I would check by removing the A pillar trim to make sure for yourself. The clip is extreemly useful when touring Europe for holding motorway toll tickets - you can always find them when you need to pay, and stops them flying out of the window - execellent invention no 2 behind reversing sensors . ![]() |

| Briskodian | It took me 3 days to figure out what that plastic clip was for (No, i never read manuals lol) I sussed it shortly after i realised what the fishing net in the boot was for ![]() |
