Thumbs up Tuner GP @ Donnington last Saturday

Well i was invited by Chip Tuning Ltd to compeate in this GP. I was in a diesel class which is thankful because there were some real monsters going around the track. But i did myself, chiptuning and Skoda proud i think. I managed to win the sprint challenge with a 6.6 0-60 mph and a 15.2 1/4 mile but with no terminal speed but I guess it was somewhere between 90-100 mph. As for the track times, I managed a 1'34.

RICA is a fantastic remap. I had 5 different people comment on how quick the car was and also how little it smoked compared to maps they had experienced !

It was not that well advertised i have to say. So it did seem quiet although there may have been 1000 people there - maybe more ?

Can't wait to tackle Donnington again !

Nice trophy!

I bet you really enjoyed your day out, 6.6 and 15.2 are quality times...i think you should name and shame some of the petrol cars you whooped

How were the eibachs on track?

Eibachs were sweet on the track, although I need to tweak the brakes I think and sort out my turn in. I think uprated shocks would help - but she did very well indeed.

Overall my car wasn't the fastest around the track, but I raced a BMW Hartge H1 [1 series] with a 450hp 5.0 V8 M5 engine and it wasn't that much quicker, certainly not 250hp quicker. I also let a Clio 182 pass me that I thought was supercharged - but I stayed with him all the way down the back straight - he was so desperate to get away from me I think he did some late braking - but it was too late and spitting lots of flames he overshot the bend - lol and ended up back behind me

Chip Tuning took their Volvo V70 T5 round. Although it was a lardy P2 estate it was 300 WHP and I was slightly quicker most of the time, although in the end he beat me by 0.? Of a second

Lots of people were impressed and I had to take 5 people out on passenger rides (1 at a time) as no one could believe it could chase fire spitting monsters in a straight line ???

Anyway - much enjoyed, people should defiantly try it if they haven't already.
