| Not sure where to post this so I thought here would be nice ..... Anybody tried these at all, electro magnetic reversing sensor strip that mounts behind the bumper. Dealer wants £300 for a retro-fit of rears to my Octy so if these work, fitting looks simple enough so could be a bargain |

| Yep, I've got one on my Fabia vRS. Pretty hopeless - detection range is about 6" with the tailgate shut, and about 27" with it open. They are also triggered by anything metal under the road - manhole covers, drains, power/telephone cables etc all "look" like a car to the sensor. The only use mine gets now is as a signal that I have just engaged reverse gear. |
