Anyone had a full install from a company?

Has anybody had a full ice install from a company?

From start to finish where they install it all and have your car for about a week?

Looking to get this done so would be interested in opinions and where you got it done...

Cheers

Head unit , CD Changer , amps , speakers , screens etc?

Most of it's fairly easy to do , especially if you have someone willing to assist.

It's only if you want to do custom boot builds or speaker pods that it gets tricky.

I did some pods to mount 17cm speakers in the door of my AX and it was a hell of a lot of work involved and plenty of trial and error

You'll have a lot of satisfaction in doing it yourself. Besides, you'll be the first to investigate if anything goes wrong or if you want to upgrade.

Get yourself a friend who has done it beore and both of you install the system.

I paid my dealer to run the wiring (power, RCAs and remote) into the boot and did the rest myself. Found it a lot more enjoyable and satisfying than simply paying someone to do the lot, even if they would have put together a better install in my boot - I still have the false flat floor in a |_| shape around the sub. Not overly flashy, but it's still working... (although I never finished wiring up the neon wire... )

It isn't that hard. Do some research and give yourself plenty of time. IMO no one does a job as careful and well as the owner of the car, you maybe a bit slower thats all. Can always get help on here

I will help where I can mate. Chavy posted my guide on running the amp wire maybe of some help If not just send a PM.

The fabia was quite easy to install. IMO you should give some thaught on where you want to mount the amp and sub and plan it before you start. E.G
will it fit in the location you have chosen?
Will it get hit by items if you use the boot
can you still get to the boot for the spare?
can you still put the seats down?
Does any of the above matter to you?

Just some thing to think about

Walkie, you're only an hour's drive away from me. I'll happily help you do the basics over a weekend if you want.

As doer1 said though it pays to have everything planned out so it's just a matter of throwing the kit in the car. You don't want to get half way through the install to realise something won't fit / work as you intended

If you're just going down the "HU, pair of amps or bridged amp for comps and sub" route, it's what I've done. Sound deadening is worthwhile doing and that can take some time on its own to do it properly...

Lots of us are only a conversation away

We could make it a Briskoda meet , and get a whole bunch of us over to do the car in a day.

Kind of a scrapheap challenge thing but with a better car.
