| Brodit active holder. Hi, sorry if this isn't the correct section for this... I wasn't sure where to put it. I'm thinking about a Brodit Active phone holder for my mobile, I've found one on eBay but I'm not sure about the auction Brodit Active Holder & Charger for Sony Ericsson K850i on eBay, also Other Sony Accessories, For Sony Ericsson, Mobile Phone Accessories, Mobile Home Phones (end time 20-Mar-08 10:26:05 GMT) This bit which I find odd is that it says you need to manually connect the charger to the device every time... surely it connects when you put the phone in? ![]() I'm just wondering if I'm likely to receive a normal holder and a basic car charger... which I don't want. Just wondered if anyone has one and could explain a bit better. |

| Re: Brodit active holder. I think 2 types are available. 1 with and 1 without the built in charger. I am going on the fact that I bought the Brodit mount for my TomTom recently. I found that when not in use it's more descreet not having the cable visible and when I am using the satnav the battery life is such that it doesn't need to be on charge very often. I guess it may depend if you plan on hard wiring the mount in but I can only advise from my experience. The mount without the built in charger should be cheaper. Check out web sites selling them new to confirm prices and model numbers. HTH. |

| Re: Brodit active holder. If it's the 'active' charger (and the one they use in the illustration) then the phone will connect itself to the charger plug when the phone slips in to the holder. What they may be referring to though is that you have to plug the cigarette adapter in manually.
