| Briskodian | When I change the HU on my furby I'd like to get a replacement that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. So I'm thinking a dark coloured unit with green ilumination would be a plan... Also, not only am I a tart but I'm also a tightwad I'm thinking either Pioneer DEH-P3600MP for about £110 or Alpine CDM-9823R for about £120. Anybody have or had either of these? I've seen one of the pioneer decks before and it looked and sounded pretty tasty for the money. But it's not got a dedicated sub output. The Alpine has a dedicated sub-out, and is supposed to have brilliant CD sound quality. Doesn't have MP3 but that doesn't bother me too much. I'm after something that won't wimp out (like the standard unit) when I want to annoy the neighbours and get frowned at by old people ![]() Any suggestions folks? Cheers Last edited by JUT; 08-11-2004 at 20:15. |

| fully boyced. | In this day and age MP3 is a must! Also I would go with one that had at least a one set of RCA's |

As for RCA's, that's what I meant by pre-outs and sub-outs ![]() | |

| fully boyced. | I would go for an Alpine, best sound quality. Don't look that bling, no pointless racing car or dolphins like most of the pioneer. |

| Look at buying the 9827 range, this will give you MP3 and 3 preouts. Downside is no changer control. CDM-9825R will drive a CD changer but NOT the Alpine MP3 one I'm afraid. To use the 6 disc MP3 you will need to buy a minimum of the CDA-9830R I'm doing a wicked deal on Alpine MP3 CD Changers at the moment £125 plus postage !!!!!! Limited stocks, we only have 100 left !!

| fully boyced. | the only thing that used to really **** me off with having an aftermarket CD player was having to take the face off out of the car, its alright when SWIMBO is out with me as she could keep it in her handbag with the rest of her essentials. I think I'll stick with my ipod and transpod for the time being. |

| fully boyced. | I wouldn't bother locking the glove box as they are more likely to damage it trying to open it. Do the balpunkt ones still come with a smart card key? |
