Liverpool & Victoria Trackday Insurance

Called L&V insurace today about whether i am covered whilst at Bruntingthorpe on the 24th. The operator put me on hold whilst seeking guidance from her manager.

The reply went something like this: So long as the event was not racing or timed in any way then I'm covered with no additional premium. I double checked explaining again that this was a track/airfield event and she said same thing. I did notice after the call that my L&V insurance certificate under the exclusions section includes 'speed trials'. Surely this would include track day activities. Bloody good news if what i was told tonight is correct

Any other Liverpool and Victoria policy holders checked this out?

Nick,

Standard LV reply mate, it's been repeated on other forums too

If its timed in any way then you are not covered. If its just an open track for a bit of fun they're ok about it

Just don't do a Jason Q (no offense, J )

IIRC, J experienced the rolling properties of a Fabia after having just changed to LV

Pete, not as far as i know.

Let's be honest, they're happy to give you cover to go flying along an Autobahn at warp speed, so blasting around a track isn't much different

Sorry didn't ask them that but will do so prior to the event so they can make a note of it on their system.

But surely you have no intention of doing that just so you can get a new one?

It's good to know though. Another for LV
