My install part 1a :)

Had alot of fun this morning starting my install. Finished the actual build of the boot now. Part 1b wil be the wiring up, ive got some 4awg cabling which should be plenty and some nice fuse holders etc.

only thing i think might look better is if the sub wasn't sunk in quite so much so that the cone was fully exposed but still a very good looking job

Yeah its not ideal, I didnt want to mount the box any higher, i could have upended it and had the sub upwards but then the port hole would have been covered.

The Genesis amp allready has its own built in cooling fan, I would think there is more than enough air circulation to supply it, its not sealed in there, but I could allways add a fan if want to without to much trouble if it struggles.

cool, I noticed all the holes for airflow. If its got an inbuilt fan then it should be ok. My previous JBL amp didn't have any fans!

with one amp in that instal it wil be fine... even on teh hottest of summer days... doest look like there is any perspex over it so the top of teh amp is exposed dissapating plenty of heat..

No perspex, but there is polycarbonate

But as mentioned theres plenty of airways in and room for air to circulate.

Power Cable

Alright Ross. Looking good

Some pictures on where to run the power cable.

When pulling the cable through watch you dont pull the gromet out like i did. Its on the "to do" list to sort out.

Ive now updated the false floor so its clears the sub and recovered in a darker carpet.
