My insurance renewal

Got my renewal yesterday on the Skud, 1045 Euro fully comp. 27 with full clean license. I thought it was okay considering what some people are paying.

yup good price there, really pi$$es me off though when you see the road death figures here for this year, AFTER the introduction of points system road deaths dropped, now they are above last years figures!? But the insurance co's are still dropping there prices, just goes to show what a racket it has been here for so long...

but still a fair price

czechmate,
Are you in Ireland ?
The insurance company starting to mess me about now, I inquired how much to get the girlfriend on policy, I was told 10 Euro extra for her. Rang again to find out how much Open drive, told 100 Euro. After weekend rang to put girlfriend on policy, its now 100 Euro and 200 Euro for Open drive. To cut a long story short they said its because the address was put down as my parents and now way 1143 Euro for my renewal, which I replied how come the renewal policy came to my new house. Anyway eventually they accepted the mistake and gave me the renewal with my girlfriend on it for 1048.90, but they said I'll be on a different area rating next year.

Do each insurance company load each area differently or is there a set database which all the companies use. When I did move 8 months ago they told me there was no different in the rick of each area. My girlfriend also asked someone in the insurance business and they also said there was no difference in the risk between the 2 areas.

Howiya Colm,I always thought that they loaded Dublin as one area. Loading different areas of the county is Bullsh1t if they are starting to do it that way. Ring around other insurance companies for the laugh and see what they have to say. BTW €700 fully comp for me Regards David
