| Briskodian | Octavia Radio pinout Hello All, I'm new to this so please excuse the stupid question, but does anyone have the pinout for the radio as fitted to a Skoda Octavia L&K.... I found a really neat one on Deans Radio page but before I could print it out the page went down for upgrading..... Story of my life really.... So I am half way through trying to fit my hands free kit through the radio. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

| Briskodian | Hi ErnieS, Did this last week on my vRS, so should be the same. Just 3 connections required: - Telephone mute (yellow wire on Nokia kit) => Pin 2 of the bottom (brown?)connector (only one without a wire on mine). Audio out +ve => Pin 7 of the top middle (green) connector Audio out -ve => Pin 12 of the top middle (green) connector Pin 7 is on the top line, closest to the yellow connector, pin 12 is the next column along, in the middle. If I could upload an image I'd attach a picture, but have failed dismally so far! Don't forget to change the phone setting on the radio to 'in'. This worked for me with a Nokia cark91 kit, naturally if it goes up in smoke, don't blame me! Cheers, IanB. |

| Briskodian | OK first problem Hi Ian, Sorry it fell at the first hurdle... On mine the Black is the bottom plug, in the first row i.e. looking at it from the back the lower left has no wire to it, but I do remember from the drawing I saw that pins 7 & 12 are correct for audio input. |

| Briskodian | You're right, just checked mine - black not brown. The brown one is for the speaker outputs. |

| Briskodian | Thanks Ian it works fine.... Now just have to figure out where the speedo pulse lives on the radio and the navigation system will be happy too.... |

| Ernie, if it is a vRS then you are ok with the speed pulse. It normally lives in the power plug for the radio. If you look at the plug there are two lines of '4'. If you pick the line that does not have the earth in it and goto the very top chamber, this is where the speed pulse wire is. If you look at where you have put your phone mute wire in, then the speed pulse one is next to it. I know that some petrol models are going over to CANBUS and will need a CANBUS adaptor (www.huntertransducers.com for more info). I have a 53 vRS and the pulse is still in the plug. My Pioneer nav picks up on the pulse no problems at all. Andy
