| oops, now where does this go ! ![]() Started on the stereo install today. Have bought the dash kit from Skoda, and glad I did as the aftermarket ones look horrid. Sprayed the fascia panel silver, although the final coat went wrong and I will be sanding it down and sorting it out later. Today I got the wiring and a few bits done.
![]() Tomorrow I need to

| Re: oops, now where does this go ! Certainly have ![]() And a big thanks to you Stu. Not only do you respond to my inane babblings about the engine, your guides on removing car parts are impressive After hours messing around today, I have got the dash back together and everything wired up. tbh once you are used to the way the Germans think, taking it apart and re assembly is quite easy. Although the B pillar trim gave a good fight ![]() ![]() I ran out of time so didn't get round to touching the door speakers. Have just amped the factory fronts for now, high passed them and stuck the sub in. Tweeters are installed in A pillars where they sound good. Full A pillar re trim to be done when I have more time, but for now they will do. ![]() I now have a few problems. Seem to have lost the silver trim panels that go either side of the steering wheel. They can't be far away but can I find them.... grrrr Have also lit the airbag light up as a result of disconnecting the passenger airbag switch in the glovebox. (made another post about this in general) The location I chose for the sub amp (in place of factory changer), is a bit of an pain to work with. There are no flat surfaces to mount anything to. Looks like I will have to fabricate some sort of bracket using the changer holes and the changer as a guide. No pictures of the boot yet as it is untidy and there isn't much to see. |
