| Problem Like in my last post swapped wires etc, trying to cram the wires in the little holes, slotted the HU in, put panel on and it doesn't work. The eject button works but face panel has no display, buttons don't work. Resetted it and it still doesn't work. Swapped headunit to the old, connected it and it doesn't work .You think the car connectors are broke?

| You will get that if you only have a permanent 12v for the backup and no switched 12v from the ignition. Ideally you need a multimeter to test that you are getting 12v from the correct wire. In the mean-time however , put both bullet connectors into the wire that has a y-shaped socket and 2 holes. That will give you the required supply , but don't forget to turn the stereo off with the ignition.

| No 12v on the car connector from my multimeter. ![]() Noticed a spark when pushed my HU in the slot connected. This caused my reading light to go on :o.

| You probably shorted out one of the wires and blew the fuse.

| Was that the HU sparking against the cage? Sounds like dodgy earthing to me... Rob. |
