| I've just bought one of these units and thought some of you might be interested in the deal I got. The Syrius retails at £260 from most suppliers and then costs either £4.95 per month or £99.99 for lifetime updates of the scamera database. However they are doing a deal at the moment whereby if you send them in any old radar/laser/camera detector/sat nav they'll give you the lifetime updates for free. The old unit and form must reach them by 30th June. Not having an old unit of any sort I bought the cheapest used one (a Cobra something or other) off Ebay for £7.95 including delivery. I sent it to Snooper with the form via special delivery (£4.50) and hey presto they registered the Syrius and gave me the lifetime subscription. They are also a very helpful and professional bunch. I also found it for £244.98 from MustHaveIt.com : Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Karcher Pressure washer air conditioner at MustHaveIt so all in all it's set me back £257.43! I thinks that's a very good deal. It seems very good so far and even gets a lock inside my house. It also looks great. Shame the bl**dy car's not here to put it in but still...it's a start. Paul P.S. they're doing the same subscription deal on the Indago & Strabo too Performance Products : Trade In Special

| The Indago, Syrius & Strabo are all essentially the same thing. I spoke to Snooper and the differences are these: The Indago has a metal case and isn't widescreen. The Syrius has a plastic case and is widescreen. The Strabo has a plastic case and plays mp3's and isn't widescreen. They all use Navteq mapping software which is (I believe) used by the emergency services and the Enigma speed camera database which seems highly rated. I went for the Syrius because I like the way it looks and it's about £100 cheaper than the Indago. I have an Ipod so I didn't need the Strabo. I'm very impressed so far. Paul
