Speaker cables in the rear Just a quick question about the cabling, I noticed that there are 2 sets of cables, I guess one set of wires is for the component in the back doors and the other is for the speakers in the boot. I have some 6x9's do I leave the components in the doors still connected or should I disconnect them?

Re: Speaker cables in the rear reaon I ask is I left both in and when centring the speaker position via the stereo it gets very tinny, but if I position it to one side you can hear the 6x9 kick in with bass etc, although alot of this could be the skoda oem headunit, that i will be replacing. any ideas?

Re: Speaker cables in the rear There is one set that are the speaker wires from the headunit and the others are for the tweeters that are in the rear doors. You would only want to connect the ones from the headunit. Not the tweeters on the rear doors or else you will get a lot of high range and it will sound very tinny. The headunit hasnt got much output, only a few watts rms so its probably struggling to power the 6x9's try a new HU, try to buy one with a built in xover so you can knock off all the very low bass to the 6x9's this usually improves them.
