| I am thinking of purchasing a Clarion DXZ755MC head unit for my Octavia RS. However, the unit is American, and would be shipped from the US. Would this present any problems with the wiring loom interface cables? I would assume that it is a standard connection, but as the unit is from the US, I though I'd better check. Does anyone know if there would be such a cable available in the US (have they heard of Skoda over the pond??) |

| If you want FM then the US goes in bigger increments so you would have to find some way of fixing that. My mate had a kenwood and only managed to do it as he was an electronic engineer and started playing with chips

| Yep, the FM frequencies are totally different so you wont get any radio!! other than that, it should fit with the relevant cable. |

| Some stereos you can jusy hold down a few buttons at turn on to get smaller tuning steps. I've had 2 USA Kenwood decks and both had this feature, which meant I got 90% of the UK stations. No RDS though, which is a bit annoying driving up and down motorways. imo, for what you can get stereos on line for nowadays, I'd bu a british spec one. |
