The global strategic partnership between Škoda Auto and Shell is going to open a new chapter in the years to come. The companies have reached a new agreement that involves a number of joint projects in various areas, including oil and lubricants, marketing and motorsport. The agreement was crowned by a visit by Shell International Vice President David Pirret and his colleagues from the top management to Škoda Auto's plant in Mladá Boleslav.

The Fabia Scout design concept car will be presented at the 9th Days of Design - Designblok´07, an exhibition that is going to take place in Prague over October 2 - 7, 2007. The vehicle will receive its Czech premiere on 2 October 2007 at 8 PM, at Jan Palach Square (in front of Rudolfinum).

Received a letter today informing me that Horners Bury is relocating its main Skoda operation to the Bury New Road site. But aftersales and servicing and warranty work can be done also at Horners Rochdale. The move takes effect from 1st December. They are having an open evening at the Bury New Road site on 7th December. I for one will miss the service provided by all at Bury.

Horners say "They are delighted to inform us that they have re-located their Bury Skoda operation to their flagship dealership and group head office on Bury new road Manchester" .
This is quoted from a letter received today from Horners Bury.
They are offering Skoda servicing, repairs and Skoda used car sales at their Mitsubishi dealership in Rochdale as well as Manchester.

I have seen on the main Skoda site 0% (finance subject to usual status blurb !) on the sport and vRS. I spoke with a dealer today, who will remain nameless, who says that will cost the dealer doing the deal ? Not going to give me such a good deal ? Anyway on the main site not much info on 0% over say 12, 24 months or whatever ? It has got me nibbling a new one again !!
Thoughts on this, for the free money are they going to knock lumps off the value of mine !

I have just been told that Jacksons of Basingstoke has been put in the hands of the administrators as of last Tuesday. Thier Skoda franchise hangs in the balance as they wait to see if any potential buyers are interested. Jacksons subsidery, Motorland, is also up for sale. Their employees were called to a meeting and told the news last week. Poor vehicle sales, service work and company pension has been blamed.
