| boppitvrs Hi people,currently own a 2001 Yellow Octavia vrs,tints and decent sounds in Basingstoke area.Had 4 years of reliable motoring until coil springs broke this week! Anyone had this happen? Car only done 54k! Our past cars have been,xr3i/renault 5 turbo,suzuki swift gti,alfa coupe,golf gti,pug 205 gti,polo 16v and mini cooper. Yellow vrs becoming quite rare now,still gets looks.Should we get cam belt changed at 60k?  Last edited by boppitvrs; 15-03-2007 at 04:05. |

| Re: boppitvrs 4 years or 60K for the cam belt. Coil packs are a common fault IIRC, someone will be along soon to be more detailed on that. Welcome to Briskoda.
