| Greetings one and all, I have just registered after collecting an Red 04 VRS which has so far exceeded all my expectations! I'm particularly interested in any tips to improve motorway fuel ecconomy as I commute 800 miles a week! |

| Firstly, welcome to the site ![]() Top economy tip - drive at 60 on the motorway - did it as a test once but gave up because of risk of falling asleep due to boredom...What sort of MPG are you getting at the moment? Glad you're pleased anyway - post some pics up, always liked them in red Steve

drive at 70mph insetad of 100mph! lol... but seriously, the difference between 70 and 80 (or even 60 as wardy says) is huge over a long distance... when I moved house (160 miles) and followed the truck up the motorway at 50-60 I got my best fuel economy ever on the motorway! so basically depends on how slow you're willing to drive! personally I stick to about 75
