| Hi, I've gone from a Peugeot 607 2.2 Hdi to an Octavia 2.0 Elegance TDi 140Bhp and what a difference. Even though the Octavia is about the same weight, the performance outstrips the Peugeot which was chipped. The ride and handling are excellent and the six speed box is a dream. I did consider the Vrs but I couldn't afford the new shape and was put off the 1.8 by the rear legroom. Plus i'm heavy footed and couldn't justify the fuel consumption. I also wanted all the extras you get in the Elegance range. It has pretty much everything the Peugeot had but is a true driver's car. I won't get it remapped until the warranty is up but would appreciate your thoughts on where to go. I am looking at two places, Revo (OBD plug in) and Storm Developments (rolling road). I note there's a lot of stuff about Jabba but do they do diesels? Also, has anyone noticed excessive wear in the gear box/clutch or similar problems? Would appreciate your thoughts. Great forum BTW. | Re: Got a real car! The 607 is, in hindsight, a very odd choice of car. I had an Espace before that (4 kids etc) which was falling apart and needed a motor quick. The 607 was in the right place at the right price but I wouldn't do it again. Not on your nelly. Thanks for the welcomes. I am now a fully blown member of BRISKY because the site rocks. And the car of course.
