Unhappy Hello everyone!

Hi all! I,m a new member who has already benefitted from some of the postings on the site.
I seem to be a bit unfortunate as I have had my 2001 Octavia Elegance Tdi for only four months and have already had a Cylinder Head gasket replaced, only to find another leak tonight that seems to be from the Heater Heat exchanger [dripping down the bulkhead in engine compartment on passenger side [UK LHD]!
Anyone tried to replace this heatexchanger yet please? If so how difficult? Most of these jobs seem to start with a "Remove two front seats...." approach!
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
maddjc.

Welcome to Briskoda. I have a Haynes manual for the VW Golf & Bora 2001 to 2003 which describes how to remove the heater matrix. The job is rated as difficult. I imagine that the same would apply to the Octavia.

But if its leaking in the engine bay its very unlikely to be the heater matrix.
