|  Hello (just got a Fabia vRS) Hello everybody. I took delivery of a brand new black Fabia vRS today. All seems to be good and well so far  I've not owned a new car before. How careful do I need to be about this running period? Will it matter if I give it the heavy right foot a few times? |

| Re: Hello (just got a Fabia vRS) Hiya. Check your handbook about "running in recommendations" if any. The first new car I ever had was a Citroen BX diesel, with the advice "do not exceed 4_000 rpm for the first 1_000 miles"; not much of a hardship when that represented just after the power started tailing off, and ~101.6 mph in top. Be even less of one in my Octy, where it would be more like 120mph (based on ~2_000rpm for 60mph)! |
