| Hi All & Suggestions Hi All, Am reletaviley new to all this forum stuff so please be patient! Been driving an Octavia VRS for about 8 months now and totally love it... much better than the Fiesta ST I had for 3 months and gave back to the dealer after it spent 2 months of its time with me being repaired. Can anyone point me in the direction of some reasonably priced mods? All I've done so far is to have some window tints but thats about it. Have been looking at Milotec gear from RSD and getting Jabba to do some stuff but wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to where to start? Cheers All Mike C |

| Re: Hi All & Suggestions Have a good scan round the Octavia forum, you'll see a few nice to have bits in there. Do you have any idea of which area you'd like to mod?

| Re: Hi All & Suggestions Jabba custom remap is IMO the best value for money mod you can get, If you are thinking of any engine or exhaust mods get those done first to get the best from the remap. remember though exhaust mods make a noisier car inside as well as outside & might ruin your driver comfort if its your every day car. with a stock zorst you should still see something aroud 220 bhp(Octy 1 figure, more for the 2) & loads more torque Next Brakes, Unless your driving the car really hard or on the track then decent pads & DOT 5.1 Fluid will suffice. Tavia RS had a 300 ish bhp Octy that did hundreds of laps at the ring & all he ran was Ferrodo DS 2500 pads & DOT 5.1 fluid. Next better tyres etc etc Induction kits OK if you like the boy racer whooshing, Ive got one on mine but I had to have it to get the performance (356 bhp) but I really hate the whoosh pist whoosh noises. The Ovty has got a virtually bullet proof lump & can be tuned to 300 ish bhp without touching the internals. Also allow a few squid spare for a new clutch, its likely if you use the remap to its full potential that will soon be on the shopping list & a better clutch would be a good idea. Jabba can fit the Corrado G60 Clutch & flywheel to the Octy 1, not sure about the 2 (is yours an Octy 1 or Octy 2) which is a much cheaper alternative to a Sachs or similar clutch & more than capable. If you are looking to go for big power later then spec Exhaust , Clutch etc to suit but. Big power costs big bucks & you will get none of it back, To date Ive probably spent twice what I paid for the car but its fun Personally I would start with a custom remap, custom is the important bit as it will find any other problems with the car & brake upgrade Hope this helps Stuart

| Re: Hi All & Suggestions Thanks Stuart, thats just the info I needed... driving an Octy I by the way. Any idea on body mods? I'd like to change the front grill to get rid of the chrome and amybe a twin headlamp conversion and a change to the rear lights. I've seen the Miltoec ones but they seem to be hugely expensive. Also, does anybody know a half decent spray / body shop in East Sussex? I'd like to get any body mods sprayed up locally as I think I can get a better deal rather than from the parts suppliers. Thanks again Mike

| Re: Hi All & Suggestions I put a milotec badgeless grill in mine & swapped the mesh for stainless, this is a crappy piccie but it will give you an idea. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/octav...hlight=furball Mine was built up from a 4x4 hence the bumper Ive got but I prefer this anyway as the car gets used hard on the road & I still manage to ground that bumper
