Question Looking to buy a Skoda

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a skoda, i been doing some research and still have not found what I'm looking for, hopefully here someone can point me in the right direcction, I'm looking for a Skoda TDI America Version, which it means the stering wheel is on the left side, it must be TDI (diesel), year from 1998-2002, i dont mind the miles/kilo, and hopefully i can find this under US$5,000.00 even if it is with high miles/kilo.. Like i said been looking for this car here in the states and have not founded, i know is out there somewhere my brother got one, but he got it from a friend that brought it from UK which we cant get a hold of him.. If you have any idea where i can find this please email me at alexander.morales@t-mobile.com or post a reply here. Thanks in advance.

Welcome.

I may be completely wrong (usually am ) but I'm not sure they marketed the TDI in the US. There are a few American-based briskodians, but AFAIK, they all have petrol-engined skodas.

Welcome anyway and hopefully someone will prove me wrong

No, the SDI's are the diesel (non-turbo) base cars; the TDIs are all the other (better) diesel models.

Before you take the trip to Mexico to pick up your car, check out any local VW dealers & see if they will service it for you, as you probably know it is the VW engine, and check if they have the Mechs to service it. It appears that diesel cars are as quite rare in the US.

Welcome to the site
