| Hi all, I've just ordered a Fabia vRS for delivery on Mar 01. (and desperately regretting not saying ' just get the bloody thing here as soon as you can....') I visited this site a couple of weeks ago for a bit of advice and to sniff out the best spec etc. I've gone for Black with Zenons, side bags and cruise. Don't know what the consensus is on that but the colour is kicking (looks like a bitch to keep clean though!) and the extra gadgets are all something that I will use. I had my first test drive about a week ago and I had a massive grin on my face. I have been trying to find a car for ages that will fit my criteria, and was struggling to get a tick in every box: No particular order: Economical >50MPG Good looking Quick (not neccessarily fast!) Good handling smooth ride good residuals reasonable insurance small hatchback size Top build quality(had thought German) Sub £13k (forgot the German idea) The Seat Ibiza FR caught my eye for a while but I gaffed it off due to the harsh ride and price. The Citroen C3 came into it for a while but departed quickly on the issues of performance, build quality, residuals...........(you know where I'm coming from). Anyway, saw the What Car long term test report on their vRS and the rest is history as they say. I am allready tinkering with the performance upgrade idea, but I will be taking A LOT of advice on that one I think. I really can't wait 'til March now. Sad eh! Anyway, if you've read up to here, thanks for your patience (you haven't got a bit spare have you?) and I'm sure to be posting a lot more on here in the future. (best insurers, performance upgrade, front tyre dealers Cheers now. |

| Think you will find the car worth the wait. Getting a black car in March seems a good idea as road salt should have gone from the roads by then ![]() |

| You could , to keep a flavour of the car, visit a different dealer each month & ask for a test drive, till yours arrives ![]() Steve

| March! You must be very patient. No way I could order a car and wait 4-5 months!
