| Hi guys, About to go and view ( 2morow ) a '99 Octavia SLXi Estate, 1.8 Turbo... Anything in particular I should be aware of, and check specifically for ? Does anyone here know if 99' models have 3x3 seat belts in rear also ? Ummmmm, I think that covers my Q's for time being... Cheers in advance... ![]()

| Re: Newbie here ! Check for full service history, cambelt change (due at 120K but best done at half that mileage), and of course that condition is commensurate with mileage. If you can get it checked on a dealer's diagnostic equipment or with VAG-COM software so much the better since that may reveal stored error codes. Recent Skodas wear well if looked after. Ooops, almost forgot to welcome you here. ![]()

| Re: Newbie here ! Oh, i forgot to ask, did the 4x4 estate models appear after 2001 ? am i pushing my luck hoping this 99 model will be 4wd ? Any ideas on the seat belts in the rear, 3x3 ??? Cause that may be the stumbling block ! Thanks anyway !

| Re: Newbie here ! It definitely won't be a 4X4. I have had a look at the parts list and a 3-point rear centre seatbelt isn't listed for 99 models. It first appears for 01 models onwards.

| Re: Newbie here ! Thanks for the responses guys and gals! Does anyon have any idea as to how viable it'd be to replace the back seats so that i'd have the all important 3rd belt.... wife is pregnant with number 3, so it is imperative!

| Re: Newbie here ! it would be possible to change the rear bench for 3x3 cant see any problems occuring. Of course you would have a middle lap belt if not a 3 pont one anyway.

| Re: Newbie here ! I thought Partyboy was actually looking for 3 x 3 point seat belts instead of the older cars with 2 x 3 point seat belts and one lap belt.
