Question Octavia SLX TDI Estate ground clearance

I'm wanting to improve the ground clearance on my Octavia estate as I travel on a lot of farm roads and do rally marshalling in the forest and find the ground clearance surprisingly poor. I have contacted Skoda UK about the "rough road kit" available in Eire but they tell me it is not available as an aftermarket fit in the UK.
How do i increase ground clearance? What are the costs? What are the drawbacks?
All info gratefully recd.
cheers all.

Springs from a 4x4 may do it, also, if you are worried about the underside of the engine (ie the sump) fit a sump guard, available from your friendly local dealer. OK it'll take probably 1/2" to 1" off the ground clearance, but it does its job and is marginally cheaper than replacing the sump.
