Talking Roll on January!

Hello all.

Been looking into what car to get when my current finance finishes in January. Currently got a golf TD which is great for the mpg but not a satisfying drive. I've looked at all the usual german suspects (and there prices) and not been convinced i would of got what i wanted for the money i want to spend.

That was until i came across the Octavia Vrs. Went to my local Skoda dealer the other day to have a look round one, brilliant! I've not stopped looking into them since, ence why i'm here. Not to sure which colour to choose as yet - any suggestions?

Already getting the usual jokes off my mates about buying a skoda - can't wait to see there faces!

Welcome to Briskoda You WILL get abuse for getting a Skoda from loads of people (almost all of us have at some time or another), but just ignore it as most will come round to accepting that its a good car even if you'll probably still get some grief anyway - plus you can be a smug as ever looking at what they paid for whatever they have

Re: colour - I obviously like the yellow but I guess im just a glutton for abuse (Skoda & Yellow !!). Have fun and ignore the ignoramuses out there.

My sister has already banned me from parking mine anywhere near her house. And that's from someone who went out one day many years ago to buy a used Golf and came back with a Metro Vanden Plas - totally ghastly vehicle...

Better be quick - there are rumours that the Octy vRS won't be available for much longer

Get a silver or red one. My car is black, and it shows up the dirt and every blemish on the paint.

Black looks fantastic, but you'll spen as much time washing it as driving it
Brilliant car though, and you'd be surprised how a lot of peoples attitudes to them have changed recently. Unless they know absolutely nothing about cars. Some of the biggest compliments mine's had have been from BMW drivers fo all people

Whatever colour you choose, you'll find someone here will tell you it's the wrong one. It's the cause of the only flame wars we ever get on what's probably one of the friendliest places on the net.

Phil

PS my Vrs was silver!
