'08 Go-Karting Meet Feeler

Hi all

Well it's been a while since we've all gone Go-Karting so what with the good weather at the moment, I think we should organise something? The Castlewellan Meet is on the 5th July, so would people prefer it to be before or after that? Oh and since Kiltorcan didn't work out the last time, perhaps it might be an idea to try out the track as it looks really challenging!

Okay so I think we'll go to Midland Karting as we've been there a few times now and they've always treated us well and the track is pretty decent too

Sounds good Fletch, the only concern I have is that " A deposit of €20 per participant is required at time of booking "

So bascially we can't book till we have the deposits, which in turn gives us the problem that we can't get deposits till we confirm a date, and the track WON'T hold dates.

Hence the reason why Midland Karting was used the last few times, they are fairly reasonable do deal with that way.

I have contacted them(Midland Karting) asking if they have any availability for 7th June. (Just waiting for them to get back to me) How would that date suit people?

Okay we're provisionally booked for Saturday 7th June at 1:30p.m. for an Endurance Race @ €50 a head. I told her we'd hopefully get about 20 people so if people have friends they want to bring, feel free to keep adding to the list.
Are people happy with the Endurance Race?

A GP might be better, as people will be knackered duoing an endurance. Also not as much crack as it'll be very spread out.

Okay, we're going to need deposits from people. €20 payable to either me or Gaff.

Gaff is in Dublin 15 and I'm Dublin 18/15/20. I'll also accept bank transfers if people would prefer that?

Gaff and I agreed that a GP race would probably be closer/more exciting than the Endurance race so I've changed the booking to a GP. She also said on the phone that the maximum she can take would be 25 people so if you're thinking of just bringing a friend along on the day, then don't or make sure you update this list on this thread first.
