Interest in a new 400 lb/ft Kevlar clutch + DMF?

Hi

Just exploring options at the moment, so details will be sketchy at the moment

What I plan to have for sale soon is:

Brand new kevlar clutch plate, rated to 400 lb/ft
Second hand machined down dual mass flywheel to match this clutch
Clutch housing

This is a straight forward replacement for the stock fabia vRS clutch, and I guess any 02M equipped car.

The 400 lb/ft rating is official, but I did manage to cook one pushing 370 lb/ft, but I didn't give it an easy life - 2nd gear launches at Santa Pod, and a couple of trackdays.

For a straight forward remapped car, or even a hybrid equipped fabia, this makes for a very stock feeling clutch setup which will cope with the power. Stock flywheel helps to maintain driveability, and due to the machining it holds together fine.

As an idea of price, these clutches are £600 new from most places, and that is with you shipping your clutch to them, them fitting the new clutch plates, machining your own DMF to suit, and sending it back to you with a coat of red paint. The price I'd be looking at is £400 shipped, all in - and you keep your stock clutch complete if wanted. Fitting will take a few hours by a decent mechanic.

Well, it all depends on what the clutch costs me to get re-furbed back to new. This might end up either being a complete new clutch plate, which might be more than £400. Still talking to the company involved to see what it will involve.

Good to see there is interest.

Edit: Yep - Had confirmation and I am happy to go with the details in post 1. What I shall do is get the company to send the refurbed complete clutch to the person who wants it, rather than me get involved as a middle-man.

I just need a PM & payment to get everything underway.
