I have someone that may need a 1.6 petrol injector circa 2000 my from a octy mk1/similar. Would need it sat am though, so last post fri on guaranteed next day before 12.

If anyone has a busted engine or an injector rail hanging around and want to make a quick tenner, let me know.

you will have to be a bit more specific than that??

fuel injectors come is many different shapes and sizes, bosch?? lucas?? magnetti?
what engine do you need it for?? i've got loads of injectors knocking about

right, just looked up the part numbers for the injectors

1.6 octy year 200, it will have AEH or AKL or AEE engine code....

guess what, i've got a 4 from the aee engine (purple) , and i have 1 from the other two codes listed (blue top) in my stash of fuel injectors.

you will need to let me know asap, because i won't be around tomorrow or most of friday

Hey buddy,

Thank you VERY much for looking into this. I have a car earlier with misfire on no.4 that had ignition, wiring & all other fault codes etc checking out okay.

I got it in this aft and swapped no4 and no3 cyl injectors - no4 cyl remained dead so for the moment the injectors have a clean bill of health. I now have to wait 3 weeks till I get it back to do a proper comp test and xenon strobe it along with looking at the cam/valves as I'm thinking it's likely inside the engine.

They were green top by the way.

But I will sure remember your stash for future. Do you break any of these motors, or do you just happen to have injectors lying about? Every now and then I get call for stuff.

nah, i've just a secret stash on injectors lying about from previous projects..

sounds like you might have a burned out exhaust valve

Exhaust, did wonder about valves but low speed compression is excelelnt (very hard to swing it by compression on a spanner through all 4 cylinders - feels very tight with very slow leakdown) and the problem happened when the owner went to pull off at the lights, all of a sudden it dropped to 3 and has never come back.

Still working on it....
