| Seat Leon Cupra R 225 Hi everyone. Just wanted some advice. I have had my Skoda Fabia vRS since Jan 2008 now and love it. Its just abit small and want something with a little more grunt. I like the look of the pre-face lift Leon Cupra R. Has anyone got/had one? What are they like? Have you had any problems? Would just like to hear what people have to say about them. Got my eye on one for 9k in dark gray Thanks ![]() |

| Re: Seat Leon Cupra R 225 Should be a fair few available for sale, I prefer them in red or gunmetal Nice motors and capable, with the ubiquitous 1.8T in 225bhp form ![]() I take it you've already been over to SEATCupra.net - Your #1 source for SEAT information - Home to have a look round? Popular classifieds over there too, where you might find the perfect candidate ![]() Cheers, Steve

| Re: Seat Leon Cupra R 225 It's a good choice, if you need some more space and also like the prospect of a turbo'd petrol Has a lot going for it, and is a lot of car for the money IMO.I nearly ended with a Cupra TDi, but the Fabia won in the end ![]() Keep us all updated with how you're getting on Steve

| Re: Seat Leon Cupra R 225 Not all of them. Two different models, the earlier 210bhp AMK engined Leon R and the later 225bhp BAM engined Leon R (cant tell by red badges and red stiching on the steering wheel, also has a quicker rack) |

| Re: Seat Leon Cupra R 225 My friend had a 225 Revo'd up to 265bhp, it was a machine, blew the clutch up though ![]() A standard 225 is about the same as a mapped Fabia on the move to silly figures ![]()

| Re: Seat Leon Cupra R 225 My mother-in-law has the run out of the old shape Leon but hers is badged as an FR which replaced the Cupra but is fitted with 17s and the titanium wing mirrors. It is quite rare as most of these are the 150 TDIs but hers is the 180T petrol. You could always try to get one of these and map them to around 215bhp. |
