Yes 18s will fit on the fabia but you will and the octavia, for the fabia you will need very low profile tyres 35's prob, dont think 245s will fit tho!

Dont forget the MK2 Octavia (& the Superb) have 5x112mm PCD wheels.
The rest have 5x100mm.

What car are they going on? (a VRS could mean almost anything)

Fabia - 5x100mm = WONT FIT
Octavia MK1 - 5x100mm = WONT FIT
Octavia MK2 - 5x112mm = WILL FIT
Superb - 5x112mm = WILL FIT

Hope that makes it all clearer now.

I think these are the ones that are listed on ebay, there is another thread somewhere discussing these.

Any 18" wheel is pushing it on the Fabia, IMHO. In terms of ride quality, and handling. Some will disagree though, I'm sure

What offset are 18" VRS-II wheels? Somewhere in the region of 55 IIRC? You could, in theory, make them fit with a 20mm 5x112 > 5x100 spacer, and 215/35/18 tyres.

18" wheels on the fabia vrs is fine if you like a hard ride but its only hard on a 25mm eibach damper and spring kit( there smooth on standard suspention) but ultra smooth on the motorway, speaking from an idiot whos done it :]
All i say is make sure you you get 215/35 and the right offset. Mine(40 offset catch on full lock and with suspention under pressure oky othewise.
I just need 3-5mm spacers on the front to sort the problem but the backs fine.

And just to touch i thought you could fit 5x100 to 5x112 thought there was a convertion kit thing???

Not quite sure what you mean? To run 5x112 wheels on a 5x100 fitment car, you'd use an adaptor. These adaptors are available in a number of different thicknesses, so end up doubling as a spacer as well

Is that what you're talking about?

Steve
