Impressive little soot chucker that mate.. Looks the muts nuts too..
Did try to get a run against you on the day, but never managed to get along side you in the queue..
Was a good day, but like you say, a bit warm... I left bloody fraustrated AGAIN, with my 5th bloody 14.0 @ 99mph.. It's getting slightly annoying now, not getting into these bloody 13's....

I think he has had a 11.3 on toyo R888 tyres.
Just a bit of an update in the way of James mk2 has now clocked an 10.58 @ 132.4 mph which now puts him .4 of a second ahead of the original record,

Well done mate
BTW this is not only the Quickest (road legal) VAG group car but it the fastest road legal fwd car in the uk FULL STOP.
It just goes to show you DONT need massive power when it runs right

Re: James Jabba powered golf is now Quickest FWD car in the UK

is 400bhp not massive power then? lol

that 11.3 is impressive, since that *is* a RWYB, not a RWYBTSTWO (...then swapped the wheels on)

I thought there was a yellow Ibiza mk3 (badger or something?) which had over 500bhp? Or is that one not road legal?

Will James' car be there on May 11th for me to test whilst my car is on the rollers? Actually, maybe I'll just stick to the Xbox (assuming you still have it)

Got demolition derby? That's my kind of driving! Actually I can see me being more likely to be on hand to help Mike out with regards to propane and NOS adjusting, if it's found to be needed....

Aye, not into 1/4 mile straight stuff, twisties on circuit racing is what I do.
Big respect to James tho... very impressive.

Mines still road legal tho.
Intrigued to its current times tho I have to say.

With well over 500bhp currently I have to fear for transmission components, let alone on sticky micky thompsons

One day I might let rip up the straight stuff and see what happens.
I would probably throw the keys to James tho as he's got an awesome technique on launching for a proper time to be had. Mine would look like a gummy burn out - lol, without much forward progress.

nice one..
keep up the good work James & co

This time is not faster than andy nicholls rover 25 that does a 1/4 mile in 10.32 @ 138 MPH. And he has been busy, so it may be even faster now!!!
He also has a mrk 2 PD130 that does around 11 second 1/4's :s

If that's the chap with the red one, I believe it does high 12s/low 13s - or at least it did during last years drag season. Not sure what else he's done to it. It shows how the same highly tuned engine will work well in such a light car, compared to a fabia, etc.
