Don't think anyone has tried the 20s. IIRC, Jakkos (apologies if I have spelt his name wrong) are 19" OZ Antares

Lloyd (LLB) has 19'' alloys on his (OZ Superleg....whatevers). 235/35 tyres.

He said they don't rub the inner arches but I don't think he's had anyone in the back yet (oh eer).

There a thread in this forum with a picture of it; would like some myself but I don't think I could justify them to SWMBO. Managed to swing the remap (I'll get better mpg because I don't have to boot it so hard.... ) but bigger alloys? I don't think so!

Cheers.
Adrian.

Oh yes, 235 is the widest tyre you can go to before rubbing occurs

Its quite a small gap with my 205/40's on - I could only just get a hand between the wheel and the suspension. But I have no probs with lock to lock at all. The destruction booklet I got with the wheels recommended my setup, and I'm sure they wouldn't have done that without knowing it would fit fine.

Not much grass / sand to spin off into @ Monaco is there? I'd be scared sh1tless trying to drive fast around there. Worst thing is, my boss went out there to see the Grand Prix last weekend, lucky b#stard!

I've had a fruitless search on the web.. Anyone know the lowest profile size tyres that are avilable in the UK. I'm just curious how narrow you can go? 35 is the narrowest I know of for sure.

I'm sure I've heard of 20 profiles, but I'm not sure.

Smaller tyres are more fun anyway!

You can get 25 profile tyres on a 19 and a 20

Cheaper to go to Smiths and buy some elastic bands

Superleggeras are great but there have been problems with them in 18/19" at the moment. Ones already on cars are buckling too easily and currently produced ones are falling short of manufacturing standards. Hence supply is a nightmare. Knowing a company with OZ's usual quality I'm sure they will be resolving this soon, but it may be worth hanging on for a while just yet.

Others I like, Speedline Turini or 2120, BBS CH, Compmotive M0 (6 spoke 18s), must confess to being a bit of a "rally slag" in the wheels department.

Must confess I hadn't heard of them 'til Disco mentioned them on the 'phone.

On the Superlegs, heard over on scoobynet that they were having supply problems, some of the users were a bit naffedd off at having to wait until September for their wheels.

Cool

Rimstock do two newish lightweight wheels.

The Pro race is a Legerra style wheel, but about a kg heavier than the OZ version. We and other Subaru suppliers have done a few sets with no issues so far , which is goodThey are also obviously pretty good value price wise.

The Pro rally is even lighter than the OZ and is more superturismo style, however Rimstock don't recommend them for road use due to the lightness and brittleness.

Wierd that the rally ones are more susceptable to damage than the race ones

Looked on your site but couldn't see them, what sort of price for 8x18, pcd 5x100, ET32?

Cant understand the rally one being fragile either:o

We're still waiting pictures from Rimstock , hence why nothing on website.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure they do an 18", I'll check but think its only 15" and 17", strangely!

Yes SkodiRS is correct I have 19 inch OZ Superleggeras on 225/35 tyres. I haven't anybody in the back of my RS yet to test if they rub. But I did get some bottoming out the other day whilst taking some bumps a bit too quick, but on a daily basis there is no problem with rubbing. As for the quality of the wheels I have found that they are very good. They take the pounding of the London streets and my bad driving with no problems and they look good.
