Question 40k service time

Well it's come to that time time to fork out for the 40K service (thank god for horners 10% discount ) It's almost the end of warranty time, are there any suggestions on what I should get the techies to check??? Better getting it checked now so the warranty can cover costs (well i've had a years trouble free motoring which is a first in any of my cars so hopefully all will be groovy)

Shouldn't be more than 250 notes. If you're doing 40k a year I assume you're getting paid to drive it in some way anyway ...

The things they should check should be in the service schedule really at 40k. It's not really a high mileage yet.

Oh I see .... apologies.

Well the other parts apply - it shouldn't cost that much, and it's not a high mileage so don't worry too much

Mine was £260-ish from Merritts in Aylesbury... Oil, filters and plugs was all they did.

Shouldn't that have included brake fluid?

Brake fluid is usually time related rather than mileage, i.e. every 2 years regardless of miles. It absorbs water over time which is why it is replaced, not anything to do with "wearing out".

Done brake fluid three times

Okay two were botched...

40k is not to bad. If the car is healthy of course

Little or nothing out of the ordinary on mine, 50k in a month or so, after 60 I'm expecting costs to go up...but thats old school grannys rumours kicking in.

Mike, get the MOT done before the warranty runs out - assuming your car is approaching 3 years.

Isaid wekll it says on the site you do and I have the sticker in the window to prove I am a member in thje end she knocked it down to £280ish which wasn't as harsh but still more as I was quoted £260b on the phone. I am led to belive that the management has changed. We are quite often told of offers and deals which we pass on. More often or not they are removed or forgotten about after time; this we are not told about.

As such we are introducing a time out for offers/discounts, should reduce the above issues from occuring.

IIRC it was "gold" servicing club...that said I did have multiple promotional offers every now and again, the admin/paperwork was not it's best sending me 5 copies of the same offers time after time.
