4x4 Traction Control Question/Car problem ????

Driving along the other day very swiftly on a twisty road, came into a corner using very heavy braking, ran through the corner off throttle, exited onto a flat level straight & floored it probably doing about 60-70 & the traction control cut in & killed the power for probably a couple of seconds before slowly feeding it back in.
The road was dry & it had a good surface & that together with the speed I was carying makes slippage impossible therefore what was it.
As some know I have 335x32 Brakes & these sometimes get noisy in corners when very hot so are the Brakes getting so hot that something is rubbing & if so does the traction control work in reverse where if one wheel is resisting turning will it reduce the power, I know this sounds daft but I am struggling to think what else it might be.

Any thought anyone or is it just a quirk of the system, it has happened once before in similar circumstances a few months ago although I was not travelling as quickly

my asr did this today... put it down to one of those things... as the brakes were cold...

My gripe is that the power cut should be a last resort if we have a 4x4, but
it doesn't seem to be to me. Did you see this one:-

Yep saw that one before, Ive read through it again & still none the wiser, it appears that no body really knows exactly how it works. I have tried ringing Skoda but I cant get past blasted customer services & all they say is talk to your local dealer who was as helpful as he could be but wasnt 100% certain as to what it could be so Anyone Else ???????????

Yep, I know the answer. The decision as to whether the ESP / whatever intervenes is completely random. Because we all know that random numbers are difficult for a computer to generate, I hope to prove my theory by finding a source of entropy somewhere in the Octavia engine bay. Perhaps a miniature lava lamp?

I don't think we will ever be the wiser to be honest.

The dilemma is that your/my quirks don't happen all the time and are often unexpected and unrepeatable. If you combine this with dealers (unless someone knows better) who will plug the Haldex ECU and check the codes and say no fault found, then where do we go next ?

In a few weeks time, I will have the use of another decent car for a month, so I plan to leave the car at a decent dealer for as long as they need to decide if its working properly or not.

That's if someone can recommend a dealer that:-

a) Knows the 4x4 system
b) Isn't horrified by the 'non-standard' power

DEALER SUGGESTIONS PLEASE ! (MIlton Keynes Plus 1.5 hours max)

You might try a big Volvo dealer.

Volvo also uses the Haldex system in its AWD cars, and their R cars aren't quite short of power...
