Cool Been rolling roaded - now with dyno graph

My Furby vRS was Revo'd a while back and today she went on the rolling road at JBS in Chesterfield;

BHP - 178.4 - pretty much as expected

Torque - 340lbs - - not as expected

A PD130 Golf also with Revo went on the rollers and produced 185bhp and the same torque as me - his had done 27k miles and mine has only done 9k so that may explain the BHP difference

The BHP and torque curves are very smooth indeed - I will post pics of them when I get a moment

Errr boost ye say

I seem to remember Revo saying the fuelling was altered, but not the boost, but I could be wrong there

I think I will enquire judging by the torque figure - a bit scary..............

Boost will have been increased for sure as will fueling.

I'd say to get that torque you probably running around 1.5 bar.

It might, it might not.

Mines running 1.7 on overboost and 1.6 normally.

This spec somewhat destroyed the std turbo on our PD demo car, hence us getting the hydrid made up to cope with it, also took the chance to trim the exhaust wheel to spin up quicker.

And what is 340 lb-ft of torque going to do to the gearbox clutch and driveshafts...? I thought the 6 speed box was only rated at something like 257 lbs-ft. Lots of guys with remapped 150 PD Golfs are complaining of slipping clutches.

Mines been fine thus far, though im not expecting it to last forever. Dont forget the Fabia is a lighter car so the clutch will in theory be under less stress.

The Fabia vRS driveshafts are huge, no worries there, the gearbox's seem to handle the power OK. A TT engined Golf that we run with 300lbft torque with an 02M box has been fine for 50k miles and its driven very hard daily.
