| I have something similar that gives the same results, its a mixture of crushed chicken teeth and a liquidised haggis, For only 39.99 i would be willing to sell this on to you, but understand these are mates rates, dont go selling it on for a huge profit ![]()

| I used to have one on my old Punto Sporting. It gave me a little bit extra MPG, made throttle response slightly better, but best of all, it made quite a cool sound!!! |

| if it gains you about 2 mpg on average then for me i would be going up from an average of about 23 to 25mpg so it would take an awefully long time to make bake the £50 outlay as i only get through about a tank a month.

| It alters the air/fuel mixture - a job that the ECU, the MAF and the lambda sensor are designed to do in close harmony. I don't see the point of building in a mechanical valve that's going to throw off the MAF readings and make the ECU alter its adaptation settings to try and compensate. I would have thought it would certainly invalidate the engine warranty, also.

| Anything that has the same name as Vauxhall's 16v range of engines should be treated with the utmost suspicion |

| i remember us doing these to death on the VW GTI mailing list back in about '97. they don't do anything...although you can convince yourself that they do if you've paid hard-earned cash for one...!

| put the fifty quid into your fuel tank and enjoy the 500 miles of travelling.. you wont get any return by fiting one of those.... there was one fitted to my 1.8 bravo when i bought it, and so many times i was tempted to take it off, stick it on ebay for a tenner, and buy some optimax with the money. btw, on the topic of supermarket vs branded fuels, i have spent the last 35k miles (2 years) in my 1.8 petrol fiat getting 350 miles per tank when using optimax (shell garage next to my work, very very handy). for 3 consecutive tanks i ran on regular fuel from tesco (a couple of miles from work) and i averaged 320 miles per tank.. co-incidence? i think not. so the 4p premium, for me, is worth it. 30 miles for £20, and it may be placebo, but i also found it to feel a bit dull, and unresponsive, under heavy accerelation when using regular fuel |

| Have one fitted to my 1.3 Felicia, and makes a noticeable difference to the engine. My knowledge of the device is that it creates turbulence in the intake manifold thus assisting the fuel/air mixing and provides a cleaner and more efficient burn.
