| Im trying a different ECU on my car later, and understand it has to be coded to the dash pod. The process I have instructions for and the pin etc, my question is - will my old ECU just go back on without the need for coding, or will it need to be coded...as I dont have the pin for my own one?

| The old ecu is already coded to your dashpod, so you could swap right back. It's only the new one which needs coding to the dashpod. Did you find out your pin then? ![]()

| That code will already be in your current ecu (as obviously it's working fine with your dash). How did you manage to find out the code if I may ask? Been needed by contacts of mine recently, but I've had to give the "shrugged shoulders" approach....

The kind soul that sent me the ecu had the code already. I know my own pin as I bought my car new, and Stu kindly mentioned to me it would be on my plastic service tag/key fob thingy with my spare keys.
