Default flashing glow plug lights

Hi everyone,

Any help much appreciated here. I recently bought a Fabia VRS which appears to have developed an electrical fault? The glow plug light on the dash flashes. It's become more frequent and for longer periods now but doesn't appear to effect the driving experience. Does anyone know where the fault lies and how to fix it.

Many thanks Joe

Check your brake lights when the light is on
It may be the brake light switch

Thanks for your responses guys. It looks like Sarah has hit the nail on the head.

It does appear that the brake lights have gone. I'll have to get it fixed under the warrenty.

Cheers J

Yeah I was about to say before you change the switch check the bulbs. If they both blow it logs the same fault.

Unfortunately I got the brake light switch replaced yesterday before I could check the bulbs - My warranty didn't cover it - it wasn't a dealership purchase
For info to others reading this thread - cost Ł58 - Obviously I'm hoping the garage did replace the brake switch and not the bulbs but I guess I will never know now.

thanks to all again - it's first time I've used this resource and I'm looking forward to contributing to this community. Joe

Did the high level brake light work?
If yes , then bulbs , if no , then switch
Mmmm this should be covered in to the 3rd year of warranty
