Post Help!! Fabia door locking

Hi all,

Some very nice person in a car park decided recently that they liked the paint on my doors soooo much, that they wanted it on their bumper

My car has been in a body shop and has supposedly been repaired, but both doors that were worked on (nearside), now won't open - at all. Seems the central locking is knackered. The little locking-button on the door still moves up and down, but that's about it. Trying to open the door with the inside handle causes it to wobble of all things (the button, not the door).

Am taking it in the next few days to try and get it sorted, but anyone got any suggestions as to what they've done? Anybody with experience in these things know if anything is likely to be damaged? just trying to work out what's gone on before I get there in case they try and blind me with science

Cheers for any help.

Andy.

I would say that it is whoever did the body works job to get the locks to work.

Yeah, they haven't completed the repair work satisfactorily. And if they try to "blind you with science", just point out that you don't need to know how it works to know that it's not working!
